A nano creator's audience is 'friends of friends': real people who trust a recommendation like advice from a friend. A macro influencer's audience is passive, with banner-blindness to ads. Nano engagement rate is often 8–12%, macro drops to 1–2%. And CR in affiliate is tied to trust, not reach.
Why they're easier to activate
A nano creator doesn't work with an agency, isn't waiting for a '₹2 lakh brand contract' — they're interested in the simple fact of starting to earn from content. A scout, for them, isn't 'another offer in the spam' but a real opportunity. The reply rate on DMs from nano is several times higher than from macro.
Why there are more of them
There are dozens of macro influencers in any niche. There are tens of thousands of nano and micro. A pipeline of nano/micro scales; one of macro hits a ceiling within a week.
Where the catch is
