Creator joined but never posted — what to do

This is the most common drop-off point in the Scout pipeline. A creator signs up, disappears, and your ₹500 fix stays frozen indefinitely. Here's what to do, step by step.

Why creators go silent after sign-up

- They don't know what to post first
- They're overwhelmed by the platform UI
- They got distracted — the opportunity felt abstract
- They signed up to be polite, never had real intent
- They think it's more complicated than it is

The re-engagement sequence (days 1–7 after no post)

Day 2 (if no post within 48h of sign-up) — send a soft check-in:
*"Hey [Name]! Did you get a chance to look around the platform? Happy to do a quick 5-min walkthrough if anything's confusing — just say the word."*

Day 4 (still no post) — reduce friction, offer something concrete:
*"One thing that helps: just pick one product you already use or like, and post about it the same way you'd normally talk about it. No need to make it 'official' — your first post just needs to go live. Want me to suggest a product that fits your niche?"*

Day 7 (still no post) — make it decision time:
*"Hey — just checking in one last time. If now isn't the right moment for affiliate, totally fine — no pressure. If you do want to start, I can help you get your first post live in 15 minutes. Let me know either way!"*

After day 7 with no response: move the creator to "Inactive" in your pipeline. Don't delete — they may re-engage later. Stop follow-ups.

Checklist before re-engaging

- Confirm they actually completed registration (not just clicked the link)
- Check if they've logged into the platform at all
- Check if their niche has active campaigns they can use
- Review their recent posts — do they look active on the platform generally?

When to stop

Stop pushing if:
- No response after 3 messages across 7 days
- Creator explicitly says they're not interested
- Creator's account went private or inactive

Don't take it personally. A 30–40% drop-off at registration is normal across all affiliate programs. Your job is to minimise it, not eliminate it.

Key takeaway: A 3-touch, 7-day sequence converts a meaningful share of dormant creators. Beyond that, move on — your time is better spent on the next 3 invitations than on a fourth nudge.

Next step: Filter your pipeline for creators at "Registration complete" with 0 posts. Pick 3 and run the sequence this week.
