How creators earn in Trendweave

A scout doesn't make content — but a scout has to confidently explain the model to the creators they're trying to recruit. If you can't describe how a creator earns in Trendweave in 30 seconds, the creator won't trust you with their time. This knowledge is a working tool, not a certificate on the wall.
GMV and commission — the two metrics everything is built on
GMV (Gross Merchandise Value) is the total value of orders placed through a creator's tracking link. Commission is the percentage of GMV that Trendweave pays the creator. A creator has short links trdwv.com/xxxxx — each leads to a specific product, and every click and purchase is tracked separately.
Where the creator sees the rates
The Brands section of the cabinet shows the active retailers with their maximum commission rates next to each. For some brands the rate breaks down by sub-category. The numbers aren't made up — they're visible on the brand card and auto-filled when a product is added to a post.
The path of money — four statuses
A creator's order starts at Pending, moves to Confirmed, awaiting brand payment, then to Confirmed, available for withdrawal. There's also Rejected (a return or cancellation). The creator withdraws what's in Available once it's ≥ ₹2,000.
How the creator shares links
Through Campaign automation: a viewer writes a trigger word under a reel ('dm', 'link', 'buy'), and the creator automatically gets a product card and tracking link in their DM. It works 24/7 — the creator doesn't sit in the comments by hand.
What you can say in a pitch
'5 active fashion retailers, a commission rate of 4–11% depending on category, payout to UPI or bank after the order is confirmed, a ₹2,000 minimum first payout.' These are facts, not promises. Specific amounts — only from the creator's real activity, never from your forecasts (Lesson 6).
Key takeaway: A scout explains the same economics the creator will see in their cabinet five minutes after signing up. A confident retelling of facts builds trust. Embellishment is the first drop-off on the second click.
Next step: Open Brands in the cabinet and look at the rates of all five active retailers — that's your cheat sheet when talking to a creator.
