Stage 1 — Understanding the SystemMust

Scout economics: fix, % rev share, lifetime

Scout economics: fix, % rev share, lifetime

A scout earns from two reward types: fix bonus and revenue share. They work on different mechanics, and understanding the difference is critical — especially in the first month, when you see hold statuses and don't understand why the money 'is there but unavailable'.

Fix bonus — ₹500 per activation

The default amount is ₹500. It's counted once per creator you brought — at the moment of their first generated sale (Lesson 4). After that, no further fix is paid for that creator. The amount can be set individually for a specific scout; if your dashboard shows an amount above or below ₹500, that's been agreed separately.

Revenue share — 5% of the creator's Net Revenue

It starts after the activation threshold is crossed (₹500 Net Revenue from the creator). It's counted on every following confirmed sale. The default is 5%, but that's not hardcoded either: the same scout can have a different percentage for different creators — for example 5% from one and 10% from another. This is agreed individually, usually under special recruiting terms.

Lifetime — 12 months by default

Revenue share runs for 12 months from the date of the creator's activation. After that, the status becomes Period ended in the dashboard and share stops being credited for that creator. An extension is possible by individual agreement — if you've brought a strong creator generating a lot of Net Revenue, it's worth negotiating an extension ahead of time, not waiting for Period ended.

Revenue share statuses

Like a regular Trendweave commission: pending → approved, or declined in case of returns. This means revenue share from one click by a creator you brought can 'mature' for a while until the brand confirms the sale. A scout is a long game, not quick cash.

What ultimately gets withdrawn

In the Scout section there's a Ready to withdraw card at the top — that's the unfrozen fix bonuses plus approved revenue share, available for Request withdrawal. The minimum first payout is `₹2,000` (same as for a creator). Below the threshold the Request withdrawal button is inactive.

Key takeaway: Fix is a one-time coin for each activated creator. Revenue share is the long tail for 12 months. A scout's main job isn't 'many registrations' but the quality of activations — because a fix won't unfreeze without an activation, and rev share won't start.

Next step: In the Scout dashboard, see what part of Total earned is already Ready to withdraw, and what's still in hold. If the hold is large, Lesson 19 helps unfreeze it by activating your existing registrations.

Learning outcome
You know your default rates (₹500 fix, ₹500 threshold, 5% rev share, 12 months) and that they can be set individually.
